Abu Dhabi has rocked the world of travel by offering a restful option to weary travellers – the GoSleep pods. While one might relate the sleep pods to some sort of sci-fi regeneration chambers, there's no argument that they allow travellers to get some much-needed rest during stopovers or delayed flights.
The pods have comfortable seating that reclines into a bed, and are equipped with WiFi and a power source. The retractable cover efficiently blocks out light and noise, allowing you to sleep peacefully.
While a few other airports already provide sleep pods, Abu Dhabi is quickly becoming the lead source of the modernized compartments, looking to boost the number to nearly 50 later this year.
To rent a pod will cost roughly $12.50 CDN per hour.
